Media Agreement and Coverage Diversity
This section explores the degree of agreement and diversity in Spanish television news programs. We measure how closely different outlets align in their coverage and how varied the topics presented to audiences are. The concept of entropy is used to quantify diversity: higher entropy indicates more heterogeneous coverage across subjects, while lower entropy reflects more uniform, repetitive news focus.
Coverage Composition Over Time
The interactive graph below displays the entropy time series of news coverage composition. Each point represents the diversity level of a specific news program over time. Click any point to explore the underlying topics covered during that period. More details are available in the Methodology section.
